I see that the machine is spec. to use 3 phase power. Does that rule out using it with 1 phase power without a rotory convertor or maybe a VFD drive for each motor, which would be at least 4 of them?

use a phase converter, talk to them I'm sure you can get a good deal on an American Rotary phase converter for it.
BlackIce,
SinArms is correct. We have 10hp rotary phase converters available that our designed and balanced for CNC equipment.
You provide a 30 Amp 220 circuit, and the rotary phase converter does the rest. These converters are made in the US, panel made in Wisconsin, and motor made by Baldor.
Thanks
Nice to know what are the dimensions and pricing on it?
Hello Black Ice,
Price ranges from 19,000-25k ballpark depending on options. Most of our customers order the machine with the 12 tool ATC, and Advanced control which brings the price to the 25k mark.
Machine specs list the size at 70" x 55"x 80". If you need an exact, I can take a better measurement. That spec gets you pretty close though.
Thanks for the questions.
Seems like it would be more practical to have the phase converter installed in China, so the machine would be a plug and play for the customer.
Nice looking machine, how long have they been available and approximately how many are out in the field?
BlackIce,
We thought about having them installed, or installing them here, but our customers needs very so much. So far the majority of our customers are business with 3 phase power and do not need the converter. Others want the converter installed before the sub panel. This way they can have multiple machines wired to the box.
Installing the phase converter is dead simple. You have 220 in (2 lines and a ground)into the box. Out of the box, you have T1, T2, T3 and a ground that goes to the machine or panel. American Rotary provides an installation video. Its a 30 minute job.

The basic machine has been around a while. It is rock solid machine. What is new is pairing it with the Siemens 808D control. I am not sure on the exact number, but the Am-1032 has been a very successful machine for us.
Thanks
