Mach 3 making weird cuts, not following Gcode

Hi, anybody know what might be causing this change in toolpath visible on the work piece? It seems like a software thing. You can see on the lower left of the piece the toolpath veers off consistently. However the rest of the part seems to conform to sizes which is weird.

Does it look correct in Mach 3's toolpath display? Is it repeatable?

Post the Program so others can simulate it to see if it is program related or machine control

All your Z axes moves are positive moves, they should be negative moves, set your tools to the top of your Work/Part and change how your part is being cut in your program, ( Top Down= Negitive ) then repost it with your postprocessor

All your Z axes moves going down will look like this ( Z -.500 ) when it is working correct

If they are working the same as this, something is wrong with the setup either how you are using the cam software, or the machine controls have been set up incorrect, set the Dro to Zero, now jog the Z axes down if the Dro is moving in a negative direction, you will see the negative ( - ) in the Dro beside the numbers, then you will know that the control is working correct, and you have a part setup problem

If the part is ok, it's all good, Not really, if the Z axes is not going the right way, you can grantee a Crash is going to happen at some time

as you can see from the picture, I worked with it, on my hobby machine I just wanted results. The work machine probably has a different requirement but I have to find out about that, it's been down for repair for a few weeks.

I need to know if there is a serious problem in the software. I can see there is a line after studying it more in the one picture, which might explain it.

No there is no problem in the software, it is doing what you are telling it to do, you may have your Z zero point at the bottom of the part, instead of at the top, process your part from the top down, set you Tool on the top of your part ( Tool Zero ), always know where your X, Y Z Zero points are this will help to avoid crashes, wrecked parts, and cutters, check your Home machine to see if the Z axes is also going in the Negative direction when going down, this is a common problem on new machine start up's for it to be reversed
