I remember a couple days ago reading about someone having their PC so close to their Plasma power supply, and it got me to thinking.

I have my power supply less than 2 feet from my PC right now. I thought it would cause problems because when I first started, I had the PC right next to the PS and the elec. noise caused the PC screen to go crazy! So I moved it to another location, but after I rearanged my shop layout, figured it would work better in it's current location.

Before I made the final decision, I had a job that called for 8 cirlces 15 inches in daimeter, made out 1/2" steel. I had to crank the machine up all the way and go slow to cut. I figured that would be a perfect chance to test it.

I noticed no interference at all on the PC and the job cut without a problem.
It has been in this location now for about 3 months and still have no problems, but I'm wondering if something may come up in the future.

Any thoughts...

This a Thermal Dynamics 151, which I heard is very elecrically noisy. More so than the Hypertherm units.
