    SolidCAM and tapping adaptor

    Hi all,

I need to use tapping adaptor with interchangeable ends for various tap sizes and was wondering how to specify it in SolidCAM. The problem is that it is one tool taking one space in a magazine but it has interchangeable ends so it's like a number of tools in one tool slot. Is there any way to specify it in SolidCAM; i.e. tap size, length and thread pitch for every individual end?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can set up new operations offset another number. but you can not change the pitch of the thread.

You can add this feature to your postprocessor. Just say what version you're using an SC

Hi partur, I'm using SC 2014. How can I program it in the post-processor? I want to use M3, M4, M5, M6 and M8 taps.

This is just an example and may not work with your file gpp. I do not see your postprocessor so I can not give you confidence that it will work with your file Gpp.
