Hi

I would like to recap what if my setup is ok or not:
I plan on a 3axis cnc, I have a 2.2kw spindle with a Huang chinesse vfd. And I will use a Contour Shuttle jog as a pendant.

I see there's a plugin for the VFD and for the pendant. But the problem I see :
Do i need the vfd plugin if I use a controller , an usb like :

or an ethernet smoothstepper.

So in both way : is the pendant jog need to be plug at the USB computer port ?
And is the vfd plugin need to be install, as both ctrl board look to give only a 10volt output to run the vfd... ?

The smoothstepper could help too as I could use a pretty low Intel PC stick to run Mach on it and got all the connection and processing done at the ess. But pendant jog is only 3ft of usb cable.. Perhaps i can cut cable and plug the wire on a control port or so...

You can connect the VFD any number of ways. What you choose is up to you. You can either use the plugin,or use PWM from Mach3 if your controller can convert PWM to 0-10V.
Yes, the shuttle needs to be plugged into a USB port on the PC.
