    daewoo 8s turret lubrication

We have a daewoo 8s from 1995 here and I have just taken the cover off the top and back of the turret to check what the lube is like and it doesn't have any.
There is some bright green oily gunge in the bottom that maybe we'll be 20 year old grease.
the inside of the turret looks great a but I can't help but think it needs some lube in there.
it doesn't look like it was ever designed to be filled with oil.
do I put some grease in it?
Here is a pic so you can see what I am dealing with

Did you ever get an answer to this ?
It does not seem like to many people are in here.

I have a Daewoo Puma 10 and have asked about what hydraulic oil to use and have not recieved an answer.
    Any idea???

    Thanks.

Sorry about taking so long to reply. I had to translate an instruction manual from Hangul (Korean) to verify the answer.

The green residue is likely to be old de-hydrated coolant that managed to make its way to where it doesn't belong.

A light to moderate coating of general purpose grease should be correct. (if high coolant penetration, use Marine Grease)

    thanks for the reply.

I ended up using a general purpose grease, didn't go overboard on it. will monitor how long the grease stays there and if need be add more at a later date.
