haas vf2 setting 4 decimal points precision in programs

hi i need to set my haas to accept numbers with 4 decimal places, for example
    X2.1234

    not just
    X2.123

is there a way to achieve this?
currently it is throwing out errors "bad number" when you transfer programs
and it puts those blocks in brackets, not sure if it reads them or not but wouldnt wannna risk it.

Are you doing inch or metric? Might not take it in metric but should not need to change anything in inch.

Make absolutely sure you entered it completely correct.

That is why only 3 decimal points. .0001 in metric is only .00003937" in inches, or less than 1/2 of 1 tenth of a thousandth. Not programmable.

    Come on use inches.

Re: haas vf2 setting 4 decimal points precision in programs

im in europe we use metric, inches is not an option, i need to either switch haas to use 4 digits precision or postprocessor to use 3, but I've tried option two and it only changed some of the coordinates, not those in arcs or prepositioning (links to part), i dont know how to change those, there is no option in post vmid file.

life would be a lot easier if i could just switch haas to use 4 digits, all other machines do that already.

For some reason I thought you were in the US. It would help if you put your location in your profile.

Changing your post would fix it, just has to be global or changing the output for all.

Not sure about that' "all other machines do that?!" What year is your Haas?

99% sure that metric mode is 3 decimals only and no parameter to change to 4.

that's kind of stupid, why would it just not disregard the last number like fanuc machines do?

    How to explain this.

This is a subroutine program engraving and is displayed when engraving. Why is it displayed if it is not supported?

The subroutine is a sub and is probably converted to english and is not in mm. .0001 mm is only 0.00003937" and too small for the machine to handle anyway. It would do you no good at all to run with 4 decimals mm on a machine that has a tolerance of + or - .0002" or more than five times bigger than that .0001mm.
