I've got a chance of purchasing a second hand Wizzard ST. But can't find any manual, what software to use or what PC connections.
Any help / advice would be appreciated.
thanks

I'm not sure you can. It's the kind with an ancient terminal right? I believe only one model could be hooked up to an external computer and even then it might have been a trs-80. I think the built in hardware is fairly robust as you still see them for sale at rather high prices but if the terminal is caput then plan on rewiring to a new controller.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm the twin of the other gfacer on cnczone...
OK, just did a quick google. If its a wizard 2000st then maybe. But they didn't have built in computers. They're more like a vision 810. I think something like engravelab will run it with a printer driver. Not 100%. Still they usually seem overpriced.

Like this?
Used Suregrave Dahlgren Wizzard ST engraving machine
If so, seems like could be an easy conversion but then its only worth (to me at least) about 200 maybe and I'd try to get it for less. You would need a new controller and power supply (or at least it would be easier I think). I'm doing mine with grbl so we'll see how that goes. I wonder if that is a pneumatic z like my dalgren.
Engravers have weird valuations - the engravers that are successful have high margins and hence they will pay a lot for machines in my opinion. No other reason I can think of that puts 20year old machines without modern controls are over $1000 typically and new controllers at 2-3k.

Would Dr Engrave work on the Wizzard ST?
