Better Brass hardness for CNC cutting

    Hi,
I make hand made name plaques out of Brass, Copper and Aluminum, and now I start cutting using CNC.

Which metal options will be easier to cut with CNC?:

    • For Brass and Copper I have 2 supply options: "Mild" or "Half-Hard" - (I use 1/16' thick)
    • For Aluminum I have many alloy options: 2219, 2014... - (I use 3/32' thick)

    Thanks!

Free machining brass is the easiest followed by aluminum in a machining grade and then copper. Mild brass. 6061 aluminum.

OK - so: mild grade Brass and Copper, and 6061 Aluminum.
    Many thanks Lee
