Lightbulb Part program transfer with FANUC CNC from/into a PC

    Hello Sirs.
I was wondering if someone could help me in connecting the machines we have with FANUC CNC with a host PC.
I intend to transfer part programs and other data (tool offset etc.) from PC into/from CNC.
I have a solution with other CNC makers, but I have problems with FANUC CNC, especially the old ones (0Series and 21).
The old ones have only -RS232C- connection, while the new ones have also –Ethernet-.

I could find an application “Open Communication for FANUC” which I could download from “softpedia”.

    Open Communication for FANUC Download

Does anyone use this software?, if not would you recommend another one?

    NOTE:
I’m new in this zone, so I’m not familiar with the already existing threads , if there is already another one about this, please let me know.

Thanks a lot for your help

    Regards
    Juan Carlos

Re: Part program transfer with FANUC CNC from/into a PC

    Hello
    Could you solve the problem?
I’m using “OPEN COMMUNCATION FOR FANUC (V50.0)” to transfer part programs and other data with all FANUC CNC (old 0, 16, and new 31i).
It works very well with both RS232 and ETHERNET connection.
I also use it for DNC operation.
If you tell me the problem you have, maybe I can help you.

    Regards
