Convert +- Analog to Step & Direction ???

Hi, I purchased a Bayside (now Parker)servo wheel and controller off ebay for my project. This thing is a monster with 3,790 in. lbs peak torque (423Nm)!

The specs are 24V with peak current of 75A, 37A continuous. (330 RPM max)
The controller appears to be a +- 10V analog based upon an MC33035.

Is there anything I can build/buy to turn this into a Step and Direction drive ?
If not, any suggestions on what to buy to drive this thing. I don't need speed.
It is 3 phase with a 6.5v encoder.

    Thanks,
    Marc.

P.S. In case you're wondering, this will be used is to position 500lb+ wood beams riding on a conveyor type thingie. Hows that for an X axis !
