    Surfacing Spoilboard

Hi guys. I just got my first surfacing bit and was wondering if anybody had any strong opinions on whether climb or conventional milling should be used for surfacing a spoilboard. Or does it even matter?

    Doesn't matter at all.

Conventional milling gives the best results for me. But maybe it also depends on the tool you have. I just use a four flute end mill and very shallow depth, like 0.2mm and my current spindle is just a DC motor spinning at maximum 10k rpm, so I do it with a 1500mm/min feed rate.

Not really... I'd rather zig-zag than offset or spiral cut however...
