    Spindle pulley slipped.

We may have a couple of problems here.

    1. during random tool changes when the spindle locks, there's a 60 cycle buzz that sounds like the spindle motor is trying to turn but can't because the spindle is locked. The spindle load meter shows 60% when this happens.

    2. the pulley is a few degrees off now and has moved upwards by .020" or so. Enough that it was grinding on the hall effect sensor.

I'm going to re-sweat the pulley back down into position but I'd like to solve the other problem. What would cause the spindle motor to try to power up when the spindle is locked?

I pulled the 1010 card and tightened the bullet connectors. So far 42 tool changes without a problem. Maybe it was a connector issue.

Well, problem's back. I'll try another thread specific to the inverter.
