RS232C Settings for Fanuc Robocut Alpha OC-16W

Hi, I just bought a WEDM machine, but I can´t transmit nc programs.

I have a PC with LPT port and windows 7 installed.

    Wich software do I need?

Can I use a 25 pins printer cable?

I followed some guides found on internet but I couldn´t make it.

MAYBE YOU NEED TO INSTALL CIMCO SOFTWARE FOR TRANSMITTING OF YOUR NC CODE

    Hi cass25z
you are quoting a Parallel (printer) Port on your PC, you will need to use the serial port for the software to work.
it looks to be a 9 D pin connector, If PC does not have a serial port.
a USB to serial converter maybe needed, and you may need to try a couple of different manufactures to get one that may work
Cable needs to be wired as null modem cable with pins jumped to eliminate Hardware handshaking
Try this for comms with robocut

If you do not have a 9 pin COM port on your P.C., check the MOBO for a plug, some of the higher end M.B.'s although they do not bring it out to the rear, there is sometimes an option on the board.
