VAC Unit for Okuma Cadet CNC

Any ideas of why the VAC unit is overheating?

Check the simple stuff first. Is the fan running? If not, check the fan fuse or replace the fan. Is the heat exchanger clean? Then try the VAC at different RPM's. Watch the load meter to see if there is excessive load on the drive when non-cutting. It should be almost nothing at low RPM and probably less than 15% at a high RPM.

    Best of luck,

hello, as okumawiz just said, i was going to suggest you a step-by-step approach ... actually, i would suggest to plug in your machine you know, like to check simpler and obvious things 1st

about that fan, also verify if it receives power ... if yes, than it is broken ... if not, than is something else

make a heat diagram on your motor ... hope there is no problem inside

also, about fan replacing ... if it runs faster when motor gets hotter, than replacing it may solve things temporaly ... if it always spins at same rpm, just replace it

compare heat diagram with one from a similar engine
