Anyone use grease for their ways?

I have a converted g0704 and I don't have an oiler on it, so I have been manually hitting each way with an oil can and brush whenever it seems dry. The back of the X is a real PITA, front of x is annoying but manageable. Y and Z is very easy. I almost never do the ball nuts.

Got me thinking about switching to grease, maybe white lithium or other for the ways and maybe some auto mobile grease for the ball nuts.

Does anyone do this? If so, what kind, and how often do you find you have to re-apply the grease? Any problems anyone sees with this?

Lithium grease is ok if your rails and screws are kept free from dust. If there's dust then stick to oil.
