Hoping I can get some answers I have a spindle for a botched cnc router build from Gantry CNC sign services ( Kevin Tyler) DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS GUY He is from Vernon BC Canada Kijiji scam but that another story anyways I have a water cooled spindle do not know what type or if it even works, I m hoping to find out how it would be possible to
1. find out what type it is
2. Find out how I can test it to see if its good I do not have the inverter

There is no other way to run it without a VFD, some photos of the spindle the diameter and the length can tell roughly what it is 1.5Kw or a 2.2 Kw, then you can get the right VFD for it, a simple check with a meter of the windings will tell you the health of the spindle, checking Pins 1-2 2-3 3-1 should read around 1.4 ohms

High end spindles usually have a manuf, name or plate, if it is one of the ones that usually supplied with Huanyang VFD's these are usually unmarked, and you can see plenty of examples on ebay.
How did you come by it, is it used?
