Which of the above would you recommend for a small shop with currently 3 mills (2 stama robodrills MC 14 and MC10 on fanuc and 1 haas vf2 with tr160 5 axis trunion)?
We are mostly working in aluminium but we would like to have a machine capable of stable milling in steel (nothing special, plain carbon steel and stainless steel v2 and v4). Parts are mostly 100x100x30mm in size, but some of them alot smaller, like 20x20x10mm or some of them larger, 300x150x30mm in size. We are in southeastern Europe.

I have Fadals so that's my vote. You can still get support for them which is more than I can say for the older Chirons.

    it will probably be hurco.

what should we ask the seller to do with machine when we go there and see it personally?
how to test it properly before buying?

Ask for advice like this is to detailed for a quick answer....
I have done acceptance qualifications on zillion dollar big complex stuff.

If it is more than a hobby machine
Call the service department of the machine tool builder and ask for the service calls history.

Total hours on the clock, if no clock it is a hobby machine.
    Been doing this too long
