    G76 MODIFIED FLANK INFEED

    How is a G76 1 degree modified flank infeed thread programmed in Fanuc G76? Currently I have a ID 7/8-14 UNF-2B programmed as 1st line = G76 P010060 Q050 R.001 2nd line = G76 X.875 Z-2.800 P320 Q080 R.001 F.07143.

If I change the first lines P010060 to a P010059, does that give me a 1 degree flank infeed?

Could you explain what you mean by a 1 degree modified thread?
I have been teaching the Fanuc lathe cycles for many years, even for fanuc directly and I have no ideaa what you are trying to accomplish.

I tried to add an image out of the book but it doesn't appear to have worked

This is for an Oi Fanuc control
With a value of P010060, you must be using a 120° threading tool
infeed angle is the side angle of the thread perpendicular to the Z axis
    - for a 60° thread you need to use P010030..... with a 1° flank cleanup it can be P010029

The only permissible values that can be used are 00, 15, 29, 30, 60 ( please verify in your manual )

I have seen other settings that use the full tip angle ie 00, 30, 55, 59, 60, 80

I am using a 266RL-16UN01C140M 1135 5907005 to be exact. The 120 degree tool is confusing to me?

    Back up a little.....
    - What control is your machine ?
    - What values does your manual say to choose from ?

Google tells me the later Fanuc's use the Vee angle of the thread (60° minus 1 ° ) ( ie 59....T010059 )
    The Oi control uses a half angle ( 60/2=30° minus 1°) ( ie T010029 )
