    Re: How to start...

Please post your solid part and I can show you....
You have to make curves from the solid then unwrap the curves.

Ok I have the file open and the OD of the spiral is 0.906 inches...
    Is this correct?

Here you go...I did not adjust any of the parameters just created the curves and made the toolpath.
The model you sent has some errors so please do not use my FM file for this part.
You should fix your solid and chain the curve, per my example.
    Good Luck~!

You will need to use the "Curve Wizard"

    See attached:

1st step will be to create curve from surface and then surface edges

2nd step will be to unwrap those curves you just made with the curve wizard:
curve from curve, then unwrap curve.

    Good Luck~!

    Here you go.
    Two ways to do it.
Just adjust the parameters to fit your needs.

    Good Luck~!

    Re: How to start...

Can you please take a look at the TEST.rar file, there you will find the part that i need to machine, Part 3 was just the curve wraped to a cylinder.
    Many thanks

    Re: How to start...

This will get you what you need.
It is not perfect, so you may want to play with the numbers some.
I used a 0.500 diameter endmill for this.
Let me know how it turns out!

    Good Luck~!
