no probe selection on my setup screen

    hi all,

i have recently purchased a pcnc440 and a wildhorse passive touch probe that is supposed to be preconfigured for the tormach. problem is there is no selection on my setup tab that allowes me to select what type of probe i am using. i have a sneaking idea that i have missed something simple.

    any help is appreciated.

You select the type of probe in the Settings tab. The passive probe opens on contact and the digitizing probe closes on contact.

I do not believe the 440 supports the active probe, just the passive probe.

NOTE: This product is not compatible with the Tormach PCNC 440.

I don't think you need to activate it. If you goto the status screen you will see accessory input. If you plug your probe in and the push the probe lightly with your finger lightly it should light accessory input light.

Do you have a probe tab?

i do have a probe tab. the light on the probe is normally off, and turns on when activated (moved off its center axis), but the light on the screen remains off.

If it is not triggering the Accessory Light it maybe the probe is not compatible with the PCNC 440. I would ask Wildhorse to see if they tested it with the 440.

When I use the passive probe on my 1100 if I press the probe the accessory light comes on. I know for probing routines you must select tool 99 also. But that should not affect the light.
