What tools are required to work on a Bridgeport?

What tools are required to work on a Bridgeport?

I have recently purchased a Bridgeport series 1 variable speed j head. Now i am heading to pick it up on thursday morning and need to pack up the tool that will be needed to break the machine down to the key components. I plan on bringing alot of tools just in case but would like to have a ready bag of the tools that i will most likely need.

    Thank you
    Chris

Re: What tools are required to work on a Bridgeport?

    3/4 wrench and/or socket

this will get the spindle motor assembly off and get the ram off the base

4 bolts in front of the spindle

4 bolts going down on the ram into the base

a good set of Allen wrenches will get the knee off

remove bolts from the knee screw mount on the base

remove way wiper from the knee behind the table

remove stop screw from base in the area of in between wipers

    remove all axis crankes

remove gib screw and gib on left side

lift off knee , i would leave the table and knee together for the move
