    McMaster-Carr ships to Canada now?

Do they ship here and do we need a business account(whatever that means) to order stuff from them?

You need a business account and clearance from homeland security.

Do a credit card order from the website, enter all your shipping info including company name, don't ask to open an account. At least that's what works for me.

Yes they do ship to Canada. We pay by visa but I think they will check your address to make sure it's a business. They're great, anyway. Typically get stock items over night to Toronto.

Here is how I do it.

Use crossborderpickups.ca. I use this and pick up my order from the Mississauga depot since it is near where I work. But they will also ship the order to you for a cost that doesn't seem too bad. There is no brokerage fee (yea!), and it is being shipped to a US address so McMaster-Carr doesn't have an issue.

What is the difference in shipping costs for using crossborderpickup versus shipping to your house/business? What does crossborderpickup charge?

Check out their website for costs. The main advantage of using them is that if you don't have a business and McMaster-Carr won't ship to your home then it is a way to get orders from them.
