Hey G'day people,

What would a recommendation be in purchasing for backyard small business opportunity of a laser capable of cutting Stainless Steel up to 3mm in thickness. Pretty much cutting out of street numbers names etc nothing earth shattering about the work. Unit would need to be as quick as practicable and not tortoise slow. Size of material being cut no larger than 24 x 12 inches there abouts could be slightly smaller working area.

I saw some china company now sell 60x40cm machine with 300 watt fiber laser, seems it fit the requirements - as a fiber laser it is on higher budget for sure.

Hi David, i am very interested to see the video of 150W CO2 laser cutting 3mm stainless steel - please show it.

I am very curious because as my post on the other thread, i event have difficulties to get a good cut even on 1 mm carbon steel.

Hi Sir

Sorry made a mistake ,just checked our report , 150W is for cutting 1.5 steel ,260 can cut 2mm easily ,3mm may still need fiber laser , if you need ,we would try our 300W fiber on 3mm stainless steel.

Can cut up to 8mm carbon steel. Less than 100h of use.
