Do you have backlash compensation turned on?

One power supply will only output 5.8 amps. Are the power supply one per driver or gang together. and all drive get power from one point?
Do you have the same problem on a 45 degree line?

One power supply per driver, I have not played with any backlash settings i can have not had any problems with 45s All setting in mach3 are to defalt besides motor tunning I had a cheap usb controller on it it it was doning the same thing i thought it was that so i went out and got the smooth stepper still have problems there Thank you all for your help I do have all the power supplys powered from the same line of 110 and the router on its own line (Breaker)

Re: Lost steps only on arcs even all low ipm

I purchased a kit from Long Motors in China(steppers, drivers,PW) on eBay several years ago. I experienced almost the same problem your having, except with the arcs. I would tune motors in Mach and would jog fine, once I loaded code to run, a motor would randomly lose steps. If I remember correctly I think it was due to the motors being under powered by power supply's . I also remember I had to set velocity way down in motor tuning to get any kind of stability. Hope this helps a little...Good luck

Just reread your post. " But if you post a code to it with arcs when it will lose steps on y ( two motors slaved) one moter wont begain to start back up and twist my gantnry all up"
How are the 2 motor slaved? ( motor hard wired one driver, one control signal wire to two driver, or two signal going to two driver.)
Question to self, why is one stepper losing steps and not both? Is it the same stepper losing step? What different from a 45 line then an arc? If same signal going both driver, computer is OK, but why an Arc? Arc starting and stopping more? Change ramp to start and stop? weak driver, change drive with x and z driver. weak power supply? stepper motor?

If you're seeing the same results with two different motion controllers, than I would think that the culprit is those big motors.
Anyone that has used them has seen very poor performance, due to their high inductance. Pairing them with 5mm pitch screws makes them even worse.
They have very little torque once they start spinning, and the slightest amount of binding or friction can cause them to stall. I would think that some low inductance 400oz motors would give a huge performance increase.

I didn't want to be the bearer of bad news. I replaced the motors and never looked back, the drivers that came with kit are still being used today.

Thank you guys Yeah I went much to big on the motors. I wanted to make sure i had penty of power But Bigger is not better in the world of stepper moters Live and learn So I will Order some smaller moters and try it these things are huge When i seen them in person It just seamed like a good deal at the time.

I put a 425oz nema 23 on one drive I had kicking around Ger21 What a improvement I seen speeds at 400 imp that's something I never that I see from this home made router. I did order more for the rest of the drives. I put it on the x axis no problems there now I was able to run a few programs 40 imp in pine cutting .25 deep anything faster the y axis missed steps it still has the big motors (2) so thanks again everyone how hot should let these little steppers run when I get them

Even 425oz motors aren't the best choice, due to their high inductance. Lower inductance motors in the 380oz range are usually a better choice.
