    Any South Australians here?

    Hi everyone,

Just wondering if there are any South Australian active members?

I'm from Adelaide and will hopefully start building my router soon. Nearly finished my design and need to finalise the design as quick as possible as i'm probably heading off to the US for work next week and plan make the most of it and get a heap of gear shipped to my hotel while i'm there. Hopefully i'll save a fair bit on postage.

    Hi Geoff,

What kind of machine are you building? What kind of linear rails and screws are you planning on using?

I'm also down South - Aberfoyle Park. I've been gathering
stuff for a while now - got an X1 mill and a BV20-L lathe
along with a S/H ballscrew, handfull of Geckos, one of Jon
Elson's controller boards, a Shumatech DRO and some H&F
scales... My day job means I just don't get out to the
workshop often enough unfortunately but I'm trying to get
    inspired...

    Im in Salisbury!

Anyone here know about stepper motors?

    I have 2 Fuji's 6 wire, 1.8V 4.8A per phase. 3/8 shaft.

Any ideas on what sort of torque they could be?

Hi All. I live in reynella. I bought a new chinese dovetail drill mill ( $1000 cheaper on Ebay than same mill in Total Tools shop !!! ) Now comes the hard part - taking out the crappy lead screws and fitting ballscrews and then fitting stepper motors. This site has been a great source of information for ballscrews and stepper drivers so hopefully i have made the right choices.Only time will tell I guess..

Are you kidding. Yeh great products, cheap prices but every tried to email with a question. I'm still waiting for a response.
Looks like they only care about if you actually win the auction.
Anyone else have the same issue??????

    Hi Bones.
I used to ask lots of questions to the guys at ozmestore before the auction ended and always had a response, although sometimes it took a while. Sorry to hear you haven`t had the same customer service.
