The company that I work for has recently acquired a 1989 comet vmc with a mitsubishi meldas mo control. The machine has been in storage for quite some time. We got power and air to the machine but when we try to start, all that happens is the ready light and the alarm light turn on and buzzer buzzes. The monitor does not come on. I removed the back cover and you can see a tube glowing but can't get anything to happen. I am new to this and could use any help that I could get!

If the CRT filament is lit, It is possible that either the video board that feeds the monitor or the monitor itself.
If the ready light comes on, the control appears to be running.
It is also quite possible you have lost the parameters if it was in storage for a long time.
Obviously you need to get the monitor working first to see any alarms on the screen.
In some case I have subbed the monitor with an old TTL type monitor. but they are practically extinct now.
