    4-axis limitations?

Well, I'm trying to get featurecam to write a program (v12) for my 4th axis and im getting nothing but problems. Im trying to make a cylindrical shaped object that was modeled in solidworks and imported as a parasolid. I really cant define any features on the model, and the only surface i can define is done in the "surface milling" option. This always works fine for non-4th axis models, but now I just cant get it to go right. Is it even possiable to do a 4th axis operation from a complex model like this?

well.. looks like the only thing i can do is index the 4th.

I have noticed somthing about featurecam durring this though... thats its extremely buggy! I know exactly how to make this program crash.

If you're working with a solid you will need 2007 with it's rotary 4th axis milling. Getting wrapping to work right was proably the hardest thing to learn. Kind of a try and learn over and over and.........
