As title reaally,

will my 80w chinese co2 laser remove a painted surface to expose the stainless steel without damaging the laser at all, i know we can mark stainless with cermark or suchlike, but someone has asked if i can mark the painted surface - so like a reverse image of what cermark will do.

and it will not damage the laser at all as it will ultimately be lasering onto the surface of the stainless too and bouncing straight back
