    Stepper running choppy

So some reason on my machine when running the stepper at slow speed it runs realy choppy and makes alot of noise. But at high speeds it runs smooth and quite.

Im talking about speed like 12imp.

    My steppers are 150oz Steppers.
They run at 6663 Steps per inch
    Run off Gecko Drives.

When i cut on acrylic i cut it at around 12imp and when 2 axis are moving at the same time it leave a choppy finish on the part.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this issue please let me know.

As far as high speeds it runs great. I rapid at 150imp and dont ever need to go faster than that. I Don't think I have ever cut faster than 120imp and don't see me ever needing it.

what software are you using? its probably going to be an issue with that. when you say choppy, is it a pattern? regular pulses that slowly fade as you increase speed?

what i mean by pattern is, well, the sound, does the motor trill, does it "tiktiktik" at slower speeds but get smoother as the speed goes up?
you might want to post this in the mach forum. im pretty sure they will peg it for you.
