First off, new to the fadal control. I have set my tools that seems the most common with touching off the top of the part, and leaving the fixture z offset blank.
Decided to try and set my tool lengths off the table, and put in a fixture offset for the Z location. All worked out fine until the end of the program.
G00 Z1.25
Z1.255
M5 M9
G90 H0 Z0
E0 X0. Y7.
M2
%
I over travel on the z on the g90 h0 z0 line.
Then I decided to change it closer to the code to how my haas at work ends,
g91 g28 z0
g90
e0 x0 y7
m2
%
and it bringz the z up to home, but then comes back down on the e0 x0 y7??? Not sure what the heck is going on there.
I really don't care to set my tool lengths off the top of a part and have to change it with every op, or change of part, I much rather change the part offset.
Is there a way to do this without jamming into the end of z travel like it did for me? I know about the mass modify for tool lengths, and will do it that way if I have to, but really rather not.
thanks to anyone who can help
ps, machine setup to run format 2
