Need to run various CNC Spindles on single phase

I own a small spindle repair shop. I would like to be able to "run in" rebuilt motor/spindles before I return them to my customers. Should I convert to 3 phase with a rotary. Then control speed (hz) with a VFD.
There would be no load on the spindle motor but I want to be able to run up to full operating speed. Any experts out there?
    Thanks,
    Glides

No, just get a single phase capable VFD.

The single phase vfd units I have researched only go to 60 hz. To run to full rpm I think I need more than that.

I assume you are talking 3ph spindles? If so you do not need a RPC, just a VFD ran off of 1ph 240.

What's the biggest Hp Spindle you are doing, or do you just want to run a belt drive for testing and have a small Hp Ac 3Ph motor to just run/test the spindle with

So your motor Hp is the first thing you need to know, from this then you can get the right size VFD to suit the AC 3Ph motor you want to run, no RPC is needed unless you have a large Hp motor, to control the speed that is the easy part, and is what all VFD Drives do

That's the standard input 50 Hz 60Hz depending on the model manufacture they range from 200Hz to 500Hz as normal, some go over 1000Hz
