hi all,
i start a little project of cnc...
what material are you making it from?
I'm a little worries about the sides of your x-axis. it looks quit high but small (it isn't stiff enough I think)
[edit] forget the question, assumed some things wrong[/edit]
still got a question, what kind of linear bearing do you intend to use? I don't really see them
hi mister h,
My english is really limited... It's a little machine x 350 y 250 z 100 mm..in aluminium...The bearing systeme is a home made "glissieres" (i dont know this word in english may be "slead"...???)..
soon
ma francais est limité aussie je croix une glissiere est "sliding bearing"

your design looks ok, but why don't you use a standard (proven) design?
i think it's great that you arent using a standard design. keep going, you are going to run into problems but thats really the best way to learn.
i found that taking parts and pieces from other designs out there- you can build your machine how you think it would work the best.
HI all,
Thank jmitik, i want make all parts of my machine in leaning....
i start my project....here my 4 axis controler (cnc4bu (techlf.com)..
I made a cooler (heat sink???) and i use the air flow of my alimantation
for cool it....a little pdf of details...sorry in french...
Now i start the building.....here drilling with a little table xy...it's the X rail..
soon
géry
hi all,
Lot of news of my project.....X translation is soon finish..
hi all,
Work in progress.....
soon
hi all,
More little details of work...
Hi all,
I hade juste modified my project for more rigidity...
Good weekend..
Looks nice and clean  Tres Bon!
Keith
thank kipper...
hi all,
More details of x translation....
Gery,
It looks like you a planning to use brass or bronze gibs on aluminum rails. Is that what I am seeing?
Alan
Looks great. I just have one question:
Why is your X stepper inside instead of outside your end beam? Would you slightly increase working area by flipping it to the outside?
hi all,
Yes alan it's that
Yes thkoutsidthebox it's a good solution...
Just a little video....of sliding
Gery,
Aren't you worried about wear on the aluminum?
Alan
hi alan,
no, because the brass has one excelent friction coefficient...and the weight
total on this axe is 1.3 kg
Gery,
Good luck, I hope it works out for you. It looks nice.
Alan
