Red face How can I check a tachometer?

I have a problem in the lathe CHNC I, I think the problem is in the Tacho
because when the X servo moves only a few millimetres this one stoped
and can't put in home mode.

I checked continuity between terminals and has only 8 ohms
    is normally?

8 ohms would be around normal, but the way to tell (if DC tach) is to try and turn the motor as fast as possible by hand and see if you get a DC voltage out proportional to speed.
But normally you either get a runaway condition or tach-loss indication on the drive with tach loss.

A common output is around 20v/1000rpm. and anywhere either side.
If it swings + or - with direction then it is probabally OK but it is best to try it at speed if possible.

The tachometer has 20 v DC with 1000 rpm
    this is good news

Now I have another problem, I connected the tacho with the motor and have a new alarm. maybe loss the coupling between these components Servo-techo.

    Axes Not Enabled
    Axes Drive Fault

    error 6011
