Hello All,

I have a quick question, how do I program multiple finish passes on a pocketing routine in mastercam? I'm getting some cutter deflection and want to do a couple of extra finish passes to get a straighter wall. I've tried adding extra finish passes in the depth cuts parameter but it only goes out to the finish diameter on the last pass.

There are many different ways to do this but this is finishing within the pocket tool path. Be sure to check out all the options that are available

Here is a text doc of my program it is a simple pocketing routine and to compensate for additional finish passes I've been adding a contour finish pass. I've been looking for a better way but this is the best I can come up with so far. I eliminated the contour pass from this file so you can see what I started with.

Cut and paste your roughing toolpath operation. Take out the multipasses or depth cuts so all that is left is the finish pass operation after the roughing operation.
