    Tool probe, Break detect

    Hello all,
I'm just now messing with break detection after junking a bunch of parts. The only problem I'm having with it is what I'll explain. When I make parts I run the first one, check the dimensions, then change the tool offsets a few thou this way or that to make the next part perfect. When I try this method with break detection, and I change the offsets to make the part perfect the machine will alarm out. Where does the control derive it's information from for the break detection? It's obviously not from the tool offsets. Is there a way in the settings to change where or when the presetter is getting its information from?
    Thanks!

Another option is my probe is out of calibration. I'll do that, but I wanted to know about the ins and outs of the presetter's programming.
