    DB9 Male and Female Connectors

Has anyone used the DB9 connectors shown on the attached link?

I bought 10 male and 10 female and I find them very good quality and useful for the G540 connections or any other use

Those look really slick. Thanks for posting the link.

I used the solder cup DB9 connectors and cheap gray plastic hoods with tons of tiny screws to line up. They were a bit tedious to put them together, but that only needs to be done once.

My soldering skills are not the best but I can manage, in addition as you said Steve, tiny screws etc. makes for a time consuming job especially fitting the required resistor inside the cup. The connectors I posted have tons of space and the screw terminals makes the job a breeze. I wonder why they are not mode popular. Perhaps the cost

Screw-in connectors are intended for field installations where you have a limited set of tools at your disposal. Normally I would suggest using regular solder connectors. Learning to solder on that level is not particularly hard, and it's a good skill to have anyway.

Good point but for the average user it can be intimidating and time consuming to solder / assemble one and squeeze all the wiring / resistor into such a small space. It’s just an alternative
