    Controller Overheating??

I have a Centroid M400 controller that is used on and C&E 5 Axis machine.

We have had nothing but problems lately and finding support has been a big headache.

Here is the main problem I am having, any suggestions would be great

    1.)Controller Overheating.
When we have the back cover of the controller on, it gets hot and we endup getting Axis errors and sometimes at the point were we cannot even home the machine. Most of the heat seams to be coming from the power supply. When we take the back cover off it works better with a few hicups here and there. I would keep the cover but because of the material we can't and currently have a make shift cover. Anyone have this problem or have any suggestions? O and yes all of the fans are running.

The power supply shouldnt be getting all that hot... I'd suspect that it was faulty. They should be pretty efficient, but I can see if it were to overheat axis performance would be poor and likely to fault.

Add a fan & replace the power supply. Which power supply is giving you the trouble? A 5V/12V or the ~100V for the servos?
