Plunge RPM setting ... can you configure it..?

    Hi guys,

Curious if there is a way to setup a plunge rpm setting with the tools? ... or would this have to be done with a custom postprocessor...?

Always appreciate the good advice here so thanks in advance!

This would be the FeedZ that you enter when you create a tool and set it's speeds and feeds.

To make the work, you need to have your post recognize this value. This is done by using the "feedz" variable in your post. Here is an example:

    *APPROACH*
    N"lnbr" G01"x""y""z"F"feedz"
    *END_SECTION*

    Hope this helps,

Dan I am a newbie to modifying post prosessor , do I just cut and paste this anywhere or does it go into a specific place?

The location of the sections shouldn't matter. You probably already have an approach section in your post. The example above was just to show how the feedz variable can be used.
