    scanning services?

I was wondering if anyone here has worked with any scanning vendors, and if so, how they liked them.

I'll be looking to scan in some carved wooden components and I'm checking around for vendors for this as I don't want to invest in a scanner at this point.

I can do all the cleanup cad work, I just need a point cloud or STL to work from.

    Thanks!

I've used ibild.com and was more than completely satisfied. Talk with Brady. I got prices locally for laser scanning, and Brady did a perfect job for less than 1/4 the price. You can't go wrong with them; check out their site.

Thanks for the kudos guys. I try to do the best job that I can while keeping costs reasonable. Smaller businesses simply can't afford what large scanning companies want to charge you...that's where we come in. While most of our services revolve around the decorative arts and 3D relief scanning, we do occasionally do some engineering-type scanning on mechanical, automotive and similar type parts.

    Thanks!

cool, I'll look forward to working with you. I just talked to my resident carver and I'm hoping he'll get us some prototype parts soon!
