ã€US Free Ship】4axis Nema23 Stepper Motor Driver DM542A 50V 4.2A 128Microsteps | eBay
Here is the ebay link, the bob is littered all over ebay. I last bought one for my first machine in 2001.
I'm going to try to get a video up tonight. Part 2 is going to be on tool needed or that I prefer for working on cnc's.
I have a tool overview video, that I will post tonight. It shows the most popular tools and parts I use on my clients machinery. I am in the process of deciding what enclosure to use for part two of this video.
Here is a video of some to the tools I like to use.https://youtu.be/r3-JmhdJQjc

Here is the box I ordered, all I have to do is go to alro and get a piece of scrap cut for the back panel. The abs one they had on amazon was like 20 bucks. The last steel panel I got at alro was 10 bucks.

I really like the box. I will be ordering these more often. Now just need to go to ALRO after my ear infection subside.
im considering buying this kit for my benchtop lathe, would you recommend it?
It is a good entry level package and I wouldn't go any cheaper than this.
Thanks you for the input. I was thinking of going with Nema 34s but I'm not sure if my mini lathe needs motors that big. I'm fairly green to all of this but I've been reading as much as possible. It's an old offshore mill lathe combo and I was thinking I could Cnc 2 axis and us it as a lathe and 2 axis mill/drill. Any thoughts?
Id go with nema 23 you may find issues with clearances with nema 34 motors.
I needed to throw this together due to my time being limited as the customers drivers finally bit the bucket. I do have some pics and video, I just need to edit and voice over. First time I have had a customer complain ( not really complain more point out), "it is so quite now can you do something to let me know when it has completed the run." So I will be looking into BR549's phone home txt to install for this customer. Also, I priced this kit out start to finish tested, and plug and play as you can get without me having the machine. Cost would be $950. Any thoughts and interest? I enjoyed doing this build and didn't see any completed controllers with this setup, so I may be offering it on ebay.

Here is a slide show of some of the steps. I was in a rush, so I was able to get more video and pictures.
