VERY basic question, to which I never got the answer, so... How do I cancel T? The only way so far is to call M6 which puts an unnecessary tool to spindle. Is there any faster way? I use tool pre-staging a lot and this has become a nuisance.

... does not require T cancel
... should not load a wrong tool in your spindle
why do you wanna cancel ? try to "preset" + "no T cancel" ; "canceling "is not a must

If you have pre-selected a tool.... then M64 will unload & place the pot back into the magazine for indexing
M63 will select the closest empty pot in the magazine & prepare it into the toolchange area
M6 with no T specified will empty the spindle
