Hi all,

Iam looking for an Electro Pneumatic pressure regulator, that I can use in our laser machine for controlling pressure of assist gas ( N2 or O2 or air ).
I want the assist gas pressure to be set automatically based on the Cutting Condition table, instead of the operator adjusting pressure manually for different materials.
I found a coumple of makes, but none are giving guarantee that they can handle pure O2, as it tends to be corrosive.

Any suggestions?

One possible setup I have seen would be to use a series of 2-way solenoid valves connected in parallel, each one with a preset manual flow control valve. Simply turn on the solenoid valve (or combination) that is set to the pressure you require. Variable control valves tend to be expensive, so this approach could also be cheaper.

Thanks Brent for your reply.
But I would like to get information about a variable control valve, as there are way too many cutting conditions for different materials, thickness & assist gas.

How is assist gas pressure set in the latest laser machines?
Is it manual or switching between preset pressures as brent has suggested or is it fully automatic?

I found some elctro pneumatic regulstors from Camozi, SMC etc.

But these can handle only compressed air, not pure O2 (corrosive).

Any suggestions?
