The nicest feature on this machine is the fourth axis mechanism, I can make a thread on steel tubes exactly the same output on the lathe machine, it can make a 3D product out of steel, aluminum, wood, plastic, I can even make a whole 1911 gun on this CNC using just a 1/8 carbide bit hehe

The only thing not working is the Y axis. It tries then i use the manual mode from the pc, both Y+ and Y- make the motor whine, but nothing happens. again though, i can turn it by hand rather easily when the machine is off. What would cause this? I think the pins are correct

Thank you John. The only number i have found for it is TX14175 but that comes back blank. I think that layout you did up will work nciely. Now i juust got to find a way to connect the wires to those pins. No idea what the connector is called.

New evelopment. Now the spindle wont work. If oi try to turn it onm in mach3 it tells me that the PWM minimum has been bumped. I have no idea what this means. I had not changed anything before it started doing it

Well i kinda made progress. one step foward, 2 back. Cant seem to figure out current problems. Y wont move, although its trying.. And spindle action triggers a "pwm bumped into minimum" error..

Update: I got the Y axis working..ish... But it is odd. lets say i press up 3 times, 2 of those times it will go - and one tim e it MIGHT go +, seems random. Other times it will stay still and make a grinding noise. I am clueless here. Anyone got any ideas?

I may be late to the party but did you look on the disk provided if there is a setup file? I don't have your machine, I have the 3020 but with my software CD I had a folder with different machine names on it. Inside was a file that when double clicked would configure the Mach3 software to set up the XYZ ports, motor speeds and also the STOP button. See if you have a folder like that, it might fix all your problems.

Unfortunetly mine did not come with a config file. But as an updatew, it has been determined after using 2 different wires, on 2 different computers, that my breakout board is dead. I am having them ship me a replacement.

Re: Looking for assistance with... PARTIALLY SOLVED!

I have it working! ..mostly. User KH0UJ has taken a large amount of his time out of quite a few of his days to talk to me over google hangouts and help me to get it working. Without his help i would not have been able to get this machine to even make a noise. The X, Y, Z, and A are working very well, they jog at a nice speed. I have not optimized it to move at a very fast speed yet, but he taught me how to get them going and calibrated. The guy taught me WAY more about CNC and mach3 than i knew before. That all being said.. The man needs some kind of award for having to deal with me! haha.

I will be making a post right after this to go over my only remaining problem.

Re: Looking for assistance with... PARTIALLY SOLVED!

At the moment all but my spindle is working. Every time i try to start my spindle it goes full power. on the VFD the 24000rpm spindle is controled by 400hz. Every Hz seems to modify 60 RPM if my math is right, and the VFD isint lying to me. I have set the VFD D032 setting to 1 which refers to computer controle, and switched the knob to pc as per the instructions. The PC does in fact turn the spindle on, However.. It ramps to full speed and gives me an error of "PWM bumped to minimum setting"
    Here are my current settings

The spindle does however work on manual.

Hi Ergelbak, you and I may become new friends. I have this exact control box with the 800w spindle. I'm on my 2nd control board, and have only had it running once with the spindle. There is a file that needs to be loaded into mach3, also depending on if you are running MS Vista you'll need yet another file added. I now get an error while trying to start up my spindle from the control box, E LU error code. So after a month with tech support, I get to start all over.

Oh, if you pm me, I can send you the files that the manufacturer sent me. The spindle settings are different than what yours say.
