    Dust collection

    Hi Guys

I am looking for a better way to collect dust on my machine. I have a build that is 10 feet by 5 feet. I have a dust collection system currently keeps bunching up on me as the table is large.

Any ideas or threads that may be useful would be great thanks

    Re: Dust collection

My table is considerably smaller than yours but I think what I did should work well for you too. I assume that you have a dust shoe adjacent to your spindle with a 4" hose connection. I used Rockler's very extendable 4" "dust right" hose mounted near the ceiling over the center of my router's bed. I built a small wooden guard to keep the suction hose away from the electrical cord and cooling tubes to my spindle. Since the hose is so extendable, it easily stretches to reach the edges of my router bed but also collapses so that it doesn't get caught on anything when the spindle is at the center of the table. Works great for me.
