Hi there,

I am trying to use the cnc_rdmgrpdata method to read M-code group data from a Fanuc cnc machine. I am getting the error EW_NONOPT

I have no idea what this error means and how to resolve it, the link above describes it as

(6)	No option The M code group option and the extended driver/library function are necessary.

But what this means exactly isn't clear. Is there something I need to do to the Fanuc machine? Or another method call that needs to be made first?

Hi Nick,
the link you posted is from our site. To rule out that there's an issue with your FOCAS setup at the controller side I'd recommend to check data output with this tool (it's free!):

If you get data it could be that you need to purchase the M code group option from your machine manufacturer.
