Mach3 2010 screenset Metric Post Processor

    Hi all.

hope some one can help me.

who has a Metric Post Processor for Gerrys 2010 screenset?
I know there is one for Vectric Aspire.
But I don't get the application ...it's really bad for getting a good result when importing 3D files.
I have tested it with Gerrys Metric Post Processor with TC......seems to work.

Has some one changed Metric Post Processor for like MeshCam?
Or a other application so I can test ?

    thank you for the help

    regards
    Goran

    Hi

Seems to work now. Just had to remove the first
M6 in the GCode and the TC works.

    Cheers

You can't remove the first M6 in MeshCAM by editing the post. So you don't really need to modify a MeshCAM post.
And, you shouldn't need to remove the first M6, but it wastes time zeroing a tool that's likely already been zeroed.

    Hi Gerry

    don't understand what you mean.
When I do not delete the first M6 from the G-Code....the machine will not probe and will not go to the reference plate for the second tool.
It just stays down the Z-axis....or should I do it differently.

Is there a correct post processor for MeshCam for probing correctly?

    Can you post your g-code?

Make sure that in General Config, you have tool changes set to "Stop Spindle, Wait for Cycle Start"

The g-code isn't causing the problem.
Did you check the setting I asked about?

Is this a parallel port, or motion controller?
    What version of Mach3?
Is there any message displayed when the Z stops?

No Probing for the second tool length....just stays low at +-o on the Z axis.

Sounds like you don't have the correct M6 macros. Make sure to copy the teo M6 macros from Mach3\macros\2010 into your Mach3\macros\yourprofilename folder

Or, you might have "Ignore M6 calls" checked on the Toolchange Tab.

Re: Mach3 2010 screenset Metric Post Processor

Well I have copied all macro to the right folder out the the 2010 folder.
and I do not have the Ignore M6 calls checked.

Yesterday I tried to leave the M6 in the G-code.
    What happens.

doing the invitational Probing for zero.
-Probing goes down to my touche plate.....then goes to my reference plate....all good...

-when pressing cycle start......it goes again back to the reference plate for probing.....retracts back to start position and start to drill.
( while moving back I have to start the spindle.....other wise it cuts into my material without any warning.

-than tool T2 calls....goes to my tool change position...pressing cycle start...goes probing to reference plate....goes back to start position.....seems to be good so far..

-T3 calls......goes back to TC position ( I change the Bit) pressing...press cycle start...goes to probing reference plate......but than just moves down a bit and stops probing with out touching the plate.... strange.

If I'm lucky I have a part of my material hight and can start the single probing.... and than my T3 can start.

    what could be wrong here.

should I do a video for you?

    regards
    Goran

    when T3 calls.....my Z Axis is higher.

    I have already changed this

"In the M881, M889, and M6End macros, you need to change the value of FirstProbeDist.
There are two, one for inches (6) and one for mm's (150)."
    changed my value to 250mm

Re: Mach3 2010 screenset Metric Post Processor

    And there's no message??
I'd try completely removing Mach3, and re-install and do a new setup from scratch. I don't really know what's causing it to stop.
If you make a video, I'll see if I can see anything.
