Hi there!
Quick question: can I chain the fault output of mutlitple CS-D508 drivers like this?
(details on p10 of this manual: http://leadshineusa.com/UploadFile/D...-D508_m3.1.pdf)
Thx a lot!

Please somebody! Maybe my schematic isn't clear enough?
The manual does not explicitly say whether the alarm logic is positive or negative. If it is what I think it is, you can connect all ALM+ and ALM- outputs in parallel. An alarm in any driver(s) will pull the FAULT signal low.
I can't see why not.
Your attachment file doesn't work so I can't see how you wired it. So........
If the ALM circuit is normally closed NC when drive is active and opens the circuit NO when a fault happens, then you would wire them in series.
If the ALM circuit is normally open NO when drive is active and closes the circuit NC when a fault happens, then you would wire them in parallel.
It says the ALM is configurable to a certain extent so this could possibly be adjustable.
Manual suggests the alarm circuit sinks to ground.
This circuit can then go to one of your controllers optocoupler inputs to trigger a stop.
Or if your controller has lots of inputs, then you could just do them individually and assign each one.
Or even use a multi channel optocoupler module between the two.
Depending on your controller software you could assign one of the buttons such as stop or feed hold etc.
