TOOL RACK FROM SANTA CRUZ ELECTRONICS

I bought this about a month ago and the way I procrastinate I'm surprised I got it done this soon.

The instructions say it should take 15 to 30 minutes to assemble it, but the way I work it only took me 2 hours.

This thing is so cool. It holds 45 tools and there will soon be another shelf available.

I have both the tool rack and the monitor rack. They save lots of room.
I added a monitor arm so I can move it to see the screen when doing setups.
They also make wrench, hammer and vise handle holders for the rack

They have a monitor rack too?? I can't find it on their website.

EDIT: Oh wait, do they call it the "control rack"?

I don't think they have it on the website. I would just call Paul or John.

I spoke with John on Monday and he said the monitor rack will be ready in a couple of weeks.

Do the racks make any annoying noise from vibrating in rack holders?. Anything loose on mill makes annoying noise when mill is running. Guess Im use to listening to mill and cutters. I like the sound of 1/4 or 3/8 carbide end mills whizzing around cutting cold roll steel and almost silent cutting of aluminum.

Cbyrd has as more crapsmen tool boxes then I do. I need to buy 4 more base roll around boxes and get rid of a wall of wood lower old kitchen style cabinets. Mount work top to wall and roll tool boxes with tops under .
Also cbyrd how many hamier probes do you own. I see 1 by monitor and one in tool rack

I have not had them make any noise while running my machine. You can always put some weather strip on the back of the strip also to make it quieter.

That is just have my boxes. I have 4 more on the other side of the room. :P

I have just one haimer probe. Those pictures were taken at different times.

I got the CNC Cookbook Special, It was $269 per side and free shipping. I think $299.00 is the normal price. I am not sure if they are running the special still.

I added the monoprice Video mount, it was about $12.

I paid $299.00 less 10% plus tax and free shipping for mine. I'm glad I did it because now I can see all my TTS holders.

That one looks pretty cool. I had something similar floating around in my brain since I got my 1100 2 yrs ago but finally had the time to bang one out. If I saw this before hand I probably would not have made my own. Key feature I wanted was adjustable shelfs and also to make new shelf hole configurations inexpensively. The pine seems to work fine but once I nail down a few good ergonomic hole patterns I plan to duplicate in hdpe.
