Guys I am finding myself a bit limited when it come to some parts I want to make due to the back of knowledge I posses.
I usually want to chamfer edges and even draft some faces on parts.

I am wondering if I need a special tool (end mill) for these operations.
Here is a section of a typical part I would like to make. I have 2D cnc router machine (3 axis)

1. Is the typical "finish" chamfer I see in alum parts
2. This is the draft I mention. I would typically do this with a ball end mill if this where wood I guess.

To chamfer the edge, you would use a V-cutter, with the angle of your choice. Not sure what you mean by ''draft''. Normally draft is used in casting, where the wall of the mold has a slight angle to facilitate releasing the part. I think you would use a ball end bit to put a cove edge on the part or you could use a roundover (corner rounding) bit to make a radiused edge rather than a chamfer.

On a custom CAM yes you can use a ball nose on that chamfer sir can you post your model sir (size, dimension, angle of chamfer) I will code it then you can try it there, examine the codes then you will definitely learn from it

I have a 90 drill mill from Atlas tools but I don't think I should use it to chamfering alum., or should I?

I use RhinoCam and it has a chamfering operation that I think I have figure out with the exception of one parameter.
